ROTTEN TOOTH (Update 11/24/2013)

So sorry....prayers for a peaceful passing.

Anyone heard the song by Boyz To Men and goes as "...it's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday"...it is continually running through my head

Well the time has come where I have to say goodbye...20 years with someone I won't ever forget...her sister died when she was 9 and that was hard but this one tomorrow is going to suck the life out of me for a while...

Her name is Blue...

20 years with a pet is an amazing amount of time! "That" decision will probably have to be made; but until the final day arrives - just love on each other :-)

keeping her comfy is probably the wise decision at her age....you have given her many years of happiness and love...she knows you will make the right call when the time comes...

FINAL UPDATE

Wne to the vet last night for the checkup...rotten tooth is till there but I have not really seen it bothering her so for now we will go with that...

As for her ear...cleared up a little on the surface but not down inside...still liquid and puss down inside so the vet, and I, are convinced it is more than likely a tumor (sure I can have the vet put her under anesthesia and tell me yes it is a tumor but why?)...

We have spent the last 20 years together and will continue to do so until her quality of life gets to a point where the decision we all dread making will have to be made...until that time we will enjoy each other

UPDATE

It has been 2 1/2 weeks since I posted this and our cat goes back to the vet tonight...her ear seems to have improved vastly after we switched to Zymox...

As for ther tooth...she got the antibiotic shot basck then and did not seem to make a difference and has never seemd to bother here in any way...swelling has gone down a little on that side of face but like I said does not seem to boether her...last vist the vet said if the shot did not seem to make a difference in her behavior then we really have no reason to take it out but we will see tonight...

She still eats, drinks, uses the litter box and cleans herself so quality of life is still there...but still I will worry when they take the tooth out
