For years we ran 2 TVs off of one LNB with no issues. The only drawback was both TVs would have to have same show on. Install the splitter from the receivers "out to TV" cable and then to each TV. If you want individual programing on each TV, then you would need a dual LNB with 2 cables coming from the dish to 2 receivers,if you're looking for High Def than a special dish and LNB is required
Let me ask this:
If you want to have 2 sat. dishes, one R/T mount and the other portable ground mounted; is it possible to have a splitter in between the one receiver and the two dishes?
Currently when the R/T dish is blocked by trees, we pull out the portable, and then disconnect the R/T dish coaxial from receiver and then connect the portable dishes coaxial to the receiver.
Would be so much better if we could just flip a switch between the 2 dishes or have a splitter placed inline to have the receiver use the dish that has line of sight.
Maybe a A/B switch?
Read the post by EXECUTIVE in this thread.
Actually I did and it explains on how to have 2 TVs on 1 receiver, My question was for 2 sat. DISHES to 1 receiver.
Executive did not actually say what the external sat cable was connected to.Are they connected simultaneously? are they connected to a AB switch in a reverse fashion? or is it connected through the multiswitch?
We did try a A/B switch from sat. dishes (2) to receiver(1);we weren't able to establish our sat. signal. We did have a 94% signal prior to installing the A/B switch/
What type/ brand of AB switch did you use EXECUTIVE
