Outside water for washing my rig..?

I have a 40 ft Bounder with an outdoor shower. You know the kind- the silly little no pressure shower head with a 3 foot hose on it.
I want to be able to tap into our exterior water source to wash windows and mud spots with a little more pressure and a lot more length.
Is there an attachment or sn accessory I can buy?
Thanks. Ki
  • Can you not remove the shower head? My short coiled outdoor shower hose on my 5er has a standard hose fitting on the end that I can attach a garden hose to. And it has good pressure.

Be aware that many RV parks have restrictions on washing the RV on site. And if you do, be nice to your neighbors. Was in one RV park where a guy washed his RV and flooded his site and the sites on either side of him. I am sure that is a major reason for the ban at many parks, in addition to the extra water usage.

Yes, you can hook up a garden hose but that won't boost the pressure.

If boondocking, most don't want to waste that much water on cleaning.

If on a site with water, just disconnect the trailer and hook up a spray attachment.

Other than in desert areas, never had anyone question washing the trailer.
  • On our last RV, I installed a small compartment with a coiled up hose just for this job. Mostly I wanted it for washing my windshield and front cap.
I hooked into a low point drain for the water supply.
  • I have been known to hook up my expandable hose to the shorter blue coiled hose to wash my cap.

I have found that the best way to keep your front cap clean of bugs is a good wax, and wash/hosing at each overnight stop.. The longer they stay on, the harder it is to get them off...

ANYWAY back to topic.. this way I don't have to worry about any wash rules due to water restrictions. Mine works fine
