I was trying for

CT-8 and I-84
I-84 and I-81

I will have to see if it will let me pick the exit I want as an intersecting route. I don't have it with me right now.

What are you using the intersection of highways for by the way? I think the reason that GPS manufacturers don't put any effort into making finding intersection of highways searchable is that they are seldom used as a destination. In reality, the highways don't actually intersect, they intersect only through connecting ramps. It seems like a massive programming nightmare. What is it your trying to accomplish or route to and maybe we can provide other suggestions.

Yeah there is nothing I can do to make the intersection of CT-8 and I-84(or I-84 and I-81 for that matter) come up. I spent another 45+ minutes last night playing with it and some time today.

I can get one or the other but then the 'other' road is never an option as a connector.

I even found the 'street names' of the highways and still cant make it work.

I guess I'll go lat/long for now but that wont be convenient when I am travelling and want to add waypoints on the fly.

I wish I had stayed with Garmin. I knew that, and it worked for me.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one that has NEVER been able to get highway intersections to come up on a GPS. I also gave up years ago. I try it on any new GPS I get...same results.

The maps on GPS's are programed for mailing addresses. You can be on Hwy 49, but the GPS will give the location as Thompson RD. which is the mailing address.

Lat/Longs, that's a problem I've had with my RM 7710 since I got it. So easy on my Garmins, but a real challenge on the RM.

It's refreshing when people answer follow up questions promptly to problems they post on here. Thank you.
