Tire Pressure Monitoring System

I have a TST system, upgraded to the one with replaceable batteries. you don't have to remove the sensor to air the tire. Both systems I've had work well. Battery life seems good.

Don't expect to see them mandated on RV's until they're mandated on Class 7 and 8 trucks.

Thought I'd add my standard rant about TPMS. I think they should be required on all new RVs. Unlike your car, almost all RV travel is long distance and checking the tire in the morning means little if you pick up a nail pulling out of the RV park. In a car, you usually drive a short distance, park, and then will come back out to a flat tire while the RV will travel long enough to leak the tire down to the danger point of complete tire failure. Usually the tire is so destroyed that assigning a cause of the failure is impossible and gets blamed on 'cheap tire'.

Hate those **** worm warnings! Seriously, I've had an EEZTire TPMS for several years and it's worked flawlessly. It should be a contender in your selection process. Has user replaceable batteries although I have not had to change mine yet.

Amazon has the TireMinder 6 sensor system for $415 so the deal above from PPL is $40 less.

Look at Pressure Pro. My system will be 11 years old in August. I had 1 sensor fail in 2011 which was replaced for 1/2 price. I replaced the sensor seals once which was minimal cost. No other issues and I have 10 sensors since I pull a boat behind my 5th wheel.I did replace the sensors last year because I felt it was time because the batteries cannot be changed. However, I was not seeing any warning signs of a weak battery anywhere. I was charged 1/2 the cost of the
original sensors. May seem a little expensive overall but with the good service and minimal problems I am happy with the system and the peace of mind the system provides me.

I have the TireMinder A1A system and it has been relatively trouble free. I have gotten a couple of false alerts, but they always seem to be when I am near a semi or another RV. Just wonder if I am getting interference from somebody else's TPMS. Batteries are replaceable and are free if you register your system and send in the old ones. Do't remember what I paid for mine but it was a couple years ago anyway and prices change. I have 10 sensors and it came with the signal booster.

I have the TST system and, while it works very well most of the time, I have a hard time recommending it to anyone. The reason is the excessive amount of time it takes to be notified if the monitor loses a signal from a sensor. An hour is way too long.

I just got an email notice that PPL Motors is selling the TireMinder system for $375.99 for 6 tires and include a signal booster. I don't really know anything about it but thought I would pass it along. I don't even know if it's a particularly good price. :)

What ever you get make sure it has user replaceable batteries. I've had one sensor fail--I'm hoping it is just the battery.

Has it always been that way I am thinking you have an issue with the one you have. A while back I had looked at all the brands on line and they all seem to look the same, have the same features and offer the type of sensors, Being to think there is no difference in brands.

Had a TST at the beginning and had terrible issues with it. Now have a Hawkshead for 5 years and no issues. Place side by side they looked identical.
