Don't know if there is a BEST way, since we each have different needs. We have lots of dogs, so we will often go through "DogFriendly.com" to narrow down our search.
Probably one of the best on-line sources is RVParkReviews.com, which has the CGs reviewed by fellow campers. You'll see some that have 10-stars from one person, and 2 stars from someone else, so you need to read the reviews to see if they apply to you. They will also have the CG website, and other information.
You may also be interested in one of the Discount Clubs like Good Sam, which will give you a discount at many CGs, or go with the 50% discount like Passport America, but you have to stay at one of their associated CGs, and they may not be where you want to camp.
You can also get the Woodson's Guide at places like Walmart, if you'd like book form to look through.
