First, the reason I asked about the motels is because we have had to stay in MANY a small town motels for with this business and there are so many that we have noticed have 2-3 spots available. Although, they are hard to get now that the oil fields and pipelines are running all through Colorado. The new refinery being built is bringing in a ton of out of staters for work.
Second, this field has MANY families living in RV's in ND, Utah, and Colorado. Colorado weather is acutally not horrible in the winter on the Eastern Side of the mountains. We have pretty mild winters in comparison to mountain living and definitely MUCH more mild than ND where the RV family living population is huge! Many drilling sites are equipped with everything that we would need to hook directly into their fresh water and waste removal lines. They even have direct TV available and many guys live on site with their RV's all year here.
That being said. Yes. We are VERY new to the RV world. However, I have noticed that googling spots or locations does not always bring up the best results. I have tried several different search engines and more often than not they bring back horrible results. That is why I turned to this forum via a friends advice to see what websites to actually look up.
We have been looking into doing this for about 8 months now and believe it really is the best option for us to be mobile enough to move from site to site every few months. At least, until we have our initial base crew trained well enough and they don't need babysat so closely. Thank you for the websites listed. I will be checking those out.
