- AllworthExplorer IIThe prestige of the Max Air name. You would not want the shame of getting caught with cheap vent covers.
There is no difference! - GordonThreeExplorerSince Max Aire decided to boycott Amazon or online sale in general, I boycott their product. I went with the Camco. Super easy install, and the no-see-um mesh covering the grill appears good quality. All the fasteners are stainless, took maybe 10 minutes to install the first, and less than that for the 2nd.

I just went to Amazon and all the MaxxAirs and MaxxAir IIs are listed there, with free delivery if you have Amazon Prime. Not sure what the boycott that you mention refers to.
I've looked at the Camco covers in stores and I bought a MaxxAir. On another thread in this forum, I believe there were some reports about the Camcos being made of lesser plastic that gets brittle in the sun, and they lost their Camco covers when they got brittle and blew off. - poppin_freshExplorerI've had my Camco cover for almost 2 years. No complaints so far.
Some of the other Camco stuff I've bought...not so much. - Reddog1Explorer IIMy first vent cover was Camco. All was well, until I needed to remove it to install a Surflo vent fan. After about two years, the plastic was very brittle, and cracked when I tried to reinstall it.
I replaced it with a MaxxAir. I checked it for brittle about four years after installing it, it was not brittle. Ihe cover I bought was a bit spendy, but the design allows me to leave mo vent open rain or shine, wind or no.

I could see that the plastic will get brittle... the factory vent covers are already suffering a lot of uv damage and not 3 yrs old yet
I'm referring to the TurboMaxx fans... they've pulled them from all online resellers, have to buy from a rv parts brick 'n mortar store - Reddog1Explorer IIThis is the one I have, but mine is white.
Maxxair - Fanmate Fan and Vent Cover Black, US $71.20 plus $16.32 Standard Shipping.
This one is a bit pricy. but you can see the dimensions. MAXXAIR Fan/Mate Model 850 Vent & Ceiling Fan Rain Cover - WHITE , $75.99 plus $47.62 Economy Shipping.
Wayne - Dutch_12078Explorer III prefer the look and operation of the Camco Aero-Flo vent covers that I installed on our previous coach. Our current coach came with MaxAir's already installed, so I won't change them unless they get damaged.
- goreds2ExplorerWhen my girlfriend bought her RV, I helped negotiate the dealer to install 2 Max-Air Covers. We have had some heavy rains while camping this year and not a leak to be found with them open. 5 out of 5 stars so far!
