100-150 will put you in a very nice class A. I'd advise a pre-07 high end coach, such as a Newmar Mountain aire , Beaver Contessa, Monaco Diplomat. Buy from a private seller if you can.
Having Newmar's comfort Steering is a big plus.
Have it inspected by an independent shop. but also have the seller sow you that all systems work.
And ask specific questions here.
Don't forget Monaco's sister Holiday Rambler also. We had a Holiday Rambler 34SBD....great floorplan with tons of storage and CCC, and still small enough to go almost anywhere we wanted. - ChainwrightExplorer

I would suggest renting an RV for a week. You will find many things to look for, to avoid, and have a much better idea of whether systems would be convenient to use or not. You may also find that RVing is not your cup of tea, and if so save a lot of money and hassle.
x2. - janstey58ExplorerI would add Fleetwood Discovery. They have excellent owner groups that have saved my bacon several times and a good source of info. Plus FW has great service and parts support out of Indiana.
- Grit_dogNavigatorI'm not a class Aer, but same principles as buying a used vehicle apply.
Low mileage is great, but super low mileage and stored or parked for long periods of time is not as preferable without extensive inspection.
Find one that was stored under cover, exterior will be in better shape.
Tires are expensive, so look at tire age and price accordingly.
In general, I prefer private owner sales for used stuff. Better chance at judging how the thing was cared for in its previous life.
It's the right time of year to buy in the north. In my experience the right time in the south is spring time when snowbirds are leaving. More selection form those upgrading or getting out of FT rv ing.
Don't limit yourself geographically, at least for comparisons. Lots of RVs, like up here in the PNW for sale.
Good luck! - Tom_BarbExplorer

In spite of researching and looking, I think you have to live in a RV for a while to learn what you really need or want in an RV. Consider it likely that you will buy one, use it for a year or more and find that you want to upgrade to a different one.
