rhinoflex hose, removing elbow for storage

Thanks for the feedback, especially for pointing me to the video in my own link! (I didn't see it off to the side on the amazon pic page.)

Anyway, in case this helps someone else down the line, a few pictures are worth a thousand words:




So, the rhinoflex hose fits into the 4" bumper. But what about the collar (with tabs) and 90 degree elbow attachment?



First, line up the tabs on the collar so they are at the four corners of the bumper and have room to clear it and slide into the bumper, and simply twist off the lower collar portion (which comes off easily)...

And yes the (now collarless) elbow indeed fits into the bumper.

same here. fits no problem. I put caps on both ends of the sewer hose and haven't had any rust issues.

I no longer use the Rinoflex but when I did I used a six inch PVC pipe.. I still have that pipe.

now use a "Smart Hose" (Valterra?) the one with the cam lock ends.. and it goes in a 7 fence post.. but the elbow comes off.. The female end remains on though.

Yes. I didn't realize they have changed the design since I bought mine. There are videos in the link in your post that show how to remove the new style fittings.

X2. Mine fits perfectly inside the bumper. If your hose is dry on the outside and you put both endcaps on your hose you should have no problems with moisture in your bumper.

Old Rinoflex Turn elbow clockwise off hose (it is a left hand thread)

new ones.. Release locking collar.. then see above.

x2 on the 5 inch white vinyl fence post. Mount it where it wont get smeared off by dips in parking lots etc. I used a plastic rain gutter inside mine and push the fittings into the gutter and slide it into the post. I glued ends onto the gutter and drilled a few holes in it for drainage. It slides out as much or as little as you like. I drilled the end of the post and put a bolt through it with a clip.

I mounted mine in front of the tires on my FW. It's right above the drain fitting area.
