What product in this thread are you talking about?
Genturie is a good example.
Beg to differ. As I previously posted, we tailgate UF football games with hundreds of RV's parked bumper to bumper, side to side in rows.
The UF parking GODS mandate stacks, so by definition they are necessary. In between all those RV's are hundreds of people milling around drinking and cooking all day into the night. Without stacks, all that exhaust would be inhaled as it spewed out at knee level. The stacks assure it shoots up and floats away above head level as heat rises.
You don't have to leave if you don't have one, but you can't run your genset without it.
As far as the comments regarding voiding your warranty because Onan says "NO EXTENSIONS", that is total and complete BS. They say that to cover their arse for stupid people that connect 100' of hose in a garage scenario.
The Genturi does not create "ANY" back pressure. Thousands upon thousands of tailgaters have put tens of thousands of hours on their gensets with NO ill affects. I am one of them.
We have tailgated races where no stacks were required and the collateral exhaust fumes were dangerous, annoying and made your eyes water. My CO detector went off all day.
So if you don't tailgate or boondock, dont get one. Having slept hundreds of nights with mine running and hundreds of other RV's around me running theirs all night, I can tell you beyond any doubt, they work and are a great product.
