Where do I get my drivers license?

I think that the 30 day issue may be if you are employed in that state. As others have said call the DMV.

When I was on active duty, I had an Arkansas drivers license, a car with Georgia plates, and insurance purchased in Missouri. But this was quite common around military installations.

Fwiw, the state your drivers license is in, has little to do with other domicile issues, and zero to do with the big one, which is your tax home.
Just go to the dmv or call em and explain and find out what you need to bring to get your picture on a new card!
As mentioned above, every state is different and there are so many loop holes that it's a flawed system for anyone who doesn't stay in one state long term.

Probably the biggest consideration, if you're prone to getting pulled over by the cops, is having the right story for them, which even sometimes if you're legit in your multi state state of living, doesn't cut it. In general with them, if your tags match your license no questions asked.
And IMO it's only important the insurance address matches if it's important to the ins co.
Again, this all doesn't match up for us a lot of times, and our insurance doesn't care. In fact they've told us just leave it as is until the next renewal.

Be sure your insurance if form the same state as you drivers lic. When I got my AZ lic I had a mail forwarding service in AZ as I hadn't move here yet. The lady at the MVD said that's a PO box you cant live in that. So I gave her an address of a campground I had stayed at and she was fine with that. My lic has my mailing address on it, which can be anywhere. They sent my lic to my mailing address. They wanted a birth certificate and I didn't have it with me but I had my PassPort she still wanted some other form of ID so I gave her my AZ CCW permit and she was fine with that

You are really asking a 'domicile' question. The question that RVers face when they go full time.

You should have one legal address that will be used for most everything - driver's license, Social Security, IRS, banking, vehicle registration, retirement check, mail, etc. Many pick Florida, Texas, Tennessee, because these states have no state income tax and are full timer friendly. I picked Florida and filed the 'domicile' paperwork with them.

I went to school in Ariz (Washington was home) and my car was still in my Dads name along with insurance. My driver license was Washington. I was pulled over several times for various things, always told them the same thing, I am from Washington going to school here. I am a full time student when asked my occupation. Never had a problem. Others kids told the LEO that they worked at xyz company and they got a ticket and were told to change to Arizona license. I would suggest getting drivers license from same state as MH if possible. The less reasons you give them to harass you, the easier it is.

I didn't read every post, but if you're thinking of getting a drivers license in Indiana, you're in trouble! After going through all kinds of hoops and presenting all kinds of documentation at the DMV to get your license, you would expect them to hand you the finished license. Nooooooo...... not in Indiana.... In Indiana they mail it to your street address! Really! I've raised a fuss about this practice for years! They want you to present gobs of ID, but then they recklessly send your finished license through the mail, where it sits in your mail box, and anyony can steal it! Yea, gotta love Indiana!

So if you don't have a physical address in Indiana, you don't want to try in Indiana!

Heck, I got a new dl once in AZ and used the address of the extended stay hotel I was in! Was moving there and buying a house but needed the new license sooner.
Quite frankly, for some in particular, like me, who move a lot, and in general, the separate license requirements per state are hokey and the regulations are full of loop holes. It's really a screwed up system for anyone who doesn't stay in one state for long periods of time.
Since you haven't replied to any of the questions you may not be as concerned as originally appeared or maybe not helpful but it's easy. Go get a po box, get a bill sent to you there as proof of residency and take that down to get your CO license.
Or alternately you could ask the dmv rather than posting online with only half the information....

Call the DMV in Colorado - post back what they tell you.
