That could be a safety issue. If you are not there to know if there is a hazard of you firing up the furnace or not. In my experience, it does not take a long time for a furnace to warm up an RV, especially one that runs on LP. I would just rather spend the money to buy another LP heater like a Mr Heater to assist the main furnace to knock down the chill.

To each their own...I have 5 remotes in my camper to include one for my OUTDOOR oscillating fan.

This seems like a futile effort to me. Before you invest in gadgetry, I'd suggest you start your furnace and make sure it will run while being towed. The AC won't be operable without a generator to power it.

I was hoping to have a remote start, to control the thermostat and the LP furnace. The call the activate the thermostat and turn on heater to desired thermostat setting

Then you will to have a remote start for the generator.

After doing a little more research, I found something that seems like it may work in this situation. It is a GSM relay control. It activates by phone call or text message, just needs 12 volt power supply. It seems after the upfront cost of the device, I would just have to buy a prepaid SIM card so it gets a phone number to call. I don't know if I am going to do this, but just wanted to share what I have found so far.

My RV's thermostat is 12 volt dc, even when I'm on shore power... most WiFi thermostat are intended to run off 24 volt AC, like a home heating system uses. Some like the NEST can be powered by the heating system's AC, or a 5 volt USB connection.

Makes sense....so no one really knows what the OP is wanting...lol
