- BumpyroadExplorerseems to me that Gerald was an inventor, etc., and reasonably intelligent. wonder why he couldn't have bought a 2 ft shorter RV to be modified. can't identify the 3636 lake lynn drive house on google earth to see his exact layout.

We don't know when the RV was originally bought and for what purpose. They may have bought it for trips only and THEN decided to modify it for their son's needs.
My personal guess is that they never thought about zoning, HOA regulations, etc., when they bought and modified it. Let's face it, most folks don't know enough to know they don't know enough and that they should be some research and ask questions before jumping in. So much for them having to have it sit there for "emergency" in case the electricity goes out.
The husband also uses it to go on business trips.:R

Then why does he take it for his own work?
Doesn't do the kid much good if the electric goes out in the house and the father is off somewhere in the motorhome. - TOOBOLDExplorerYes, he can take it for work but the article doesn't mention if their son also goes with him.I'm sure no one here has taken a business trip with their families coming along.

It's getting just a little deep in here.
bumpy - BumpyroadExplorershouldn't the title be corrected? no win over HOA as yet that has not been settled??? win was over county zoning which is trumped by HOA rules. the HOA can fine him $$$$ a day until he comes into compliance.
