2 orings in each connector, should be pretty easy with a small pick. - jllacoExplorerAre the o-rings inside the connector difficult to replace, just asking in case mine are damaged. I am buying a new fuel reservoir 9K044-a

I'm a Ford tech but it's been a long time since I've worked on these, the dual tank units have added outlets. I do recall these having filters in them. There's no way these would be used as you say, there's just a few ounces in them. Passing conditions use the vacuum fuel pressure regulator, 30lbs at idle or cruise, dump the throttle, lose the vacuum, fuel pressure goes up to 40+ lbs. Your issue right now could be bad orings inside the lines along with the lack of proper clips or the wrong size tube connecting the lines. - jllacoExplorerIt's a single tank. - YakExplorerThere is a cartridge filter in there if I remember. A bear to get apart. If this is dual tanks do both tanks work?
- diesel_man_03ExplorerAgree with westend.
- westendExplorerFilter or canister for evaporative control? I don't believe I have the book for that year. Lemme' take a look.
- jllacoExplorerOkay, So here are some more pics. Looks like both the fuel pump and Filter are in place, basically under the driver seat part of the frame. It looks like they bypassed this one device and tied the lines together, or tried to tie them together. So, what is this thing they bypassed?
you can see in this picture, two nipples that the lines were pulled from and tied together in my original post
- jllacoExplorerYou are the first to mention that, I will need to check under there and see if I can find either a rail mounted pump or filter. Thanks!
