Sorry but not seeing where I was not being descriptive or accurate. You did a good job restating what I already said. I had a buddy who called this picking the fly poop out of the pepper.

To someone that don’t know better, might think that if you don’t agree with where they take you and want to go any farther, you would be stuck with the full tow…
Your comment is not inclusive or accurate of the different plans available, except you seem imply that is the case…
Your friend should be aware that, Maybe it’s better for you to not put the fly poop in the pepper in the first place, or to be sure to bring and use his own clean pepper…

It was not a restating of what you said, it was restating what the plan said…
Of coarse no one likes being corrected, but If you comment was for informational purposes it deserves to be thought out and as accurate as possible to be of any value…

I have AAA for years. Got it to cover us on travels. Always had good luck with them. Upgrade a few years ago to Premium to cover the motorcycle. They said it would cover an RV as well so I stuck with it when we bought our TT. This thread got me thinking so I emailed them to ask EXACTLY what is covered and what is not. 3 days and still no response. Hmmm. Thinking it may be time to switch.

Thanks for the feedback. The 100 mile tow has helped me tremendously in the past . I have posted a new post on if the flatbeds could haul a small 16 ft total length trailer.that seems to be aaa s problem. I've been towed by aaa all over the country with just my truck. they say they are nation wide. it appears they just can't tow trailers nationwide

While anything could happen with any of them, GS and CN are setup for large vehicles and heavy tows…

What is important is clearly communicating what you need so they don’t send a truck incapable of doing the job… by the same token you don’t want them sending a Kenworth tri-axle to tow you mini-cooper…

Different towing companies sign on for the type of tow he can do… light, heavy, rollback flatbed, lowboy trailer, etc.… most do have contracts with more than one road service and with local or state law enforcement …

If the towing company only has a flatbed, you are SOL. AAA will leave you to fend for yourself. Been there.

That is my fear with our road service provider.

That’s interesting and a good question…
it is also reduction in service when compared to the old goal plan….
They don’t offer much information or allow for any way to view the contract language before you buy…
All they offer is the highly sanitized FAQ’s and not to many of those…

They do say

Many things about the new Premier Coach and Premier Towable membership plans are the same as the Gold and Platinum Plus plans we offered. Our Premier packages provide all-inclusive coverage for the member and family for the RV and all other personal vehicles owned, rented, borrowed, or leased

But also say,

Many of the Coach-Net roadside programs are all inclusive. This means that you, your spouse and any dependent children under the age of 24 still living at home or attending college are protected.
and
Basic Membership ($79 per year plus a one-time $10 application fee) - This membership plan provides unlimited roadside assistance coverage for your RV, but does not extend that coverage to any other family vehicles or drivers.


By comparison, GS the two lessor plans say,
Your spouse and dependent children under the age of 25 are also eligible to receive benefits under your plan - at no extra cost.
Your owned RV, cars, minivans, SUVs, pick-ups, motorcycles and boat trailers are all covered!


The platinum plus says, even extended family is covered,
Your spouse and dependent children under the age of 25 are also eligible to receive benefits under your plan - at no extra cost. Roadside services are also available to extended family members driving your owned vehicle.

Any owned, rented, leased or borrowed RV, car, minivan, SUV, pick-up, or motorcycle you drive are all covered! Boat, sport utility, car, car dolly, and cargo are covered…

This plan will I believe tow you to where you want to go up to 100 miles without extra charge…

Although I think there are other more important differences to…

If you use it to cover all your vehicles, are you happy with any road service you have received/needed while driving your automobile?

We only paid $70 for a year of CoachNet. They will tow the trailer and the truck.
AAA said our truck is on their "exclusion" list. Its too big, so they won't tow it at all.
