I think you're confusing "ostentatious", "gaudy", and "decadent" with "tacky".
Most RVs are tacky anyway. Damned few things are as tacky as an ostentatious 40' foot class A with gaudy "graphics" going down the highway pulling an F-150 crewcab. Or people that go to campgrounds and watch the "big game" on their outside TV via the portable satellite dish they set up on the other side of the road, blithely unaware of the tripping hazard the wire presents. Yet such behavior is accepted as normal, even laudable, by many. - irishtom29ExplorerMost RVs are tacky anyway. seems they did a good job and it IS a roof over their heads.
I've seen worse, it isnt tacky, it is THEIR HOME.
would I want it, nope :) :) :) :)
Well to me the only tacky part is the over ground sewer line. The Kitchen is Killer!! Look at the stove.
Could be a couple starting lower income, bought a lot with plans to build a nice house later.
Using this as a skill builder on the house.
I would not be so sure about not being mobile, the roof is not THAT tall, slide roof might be removable. - Cloud_DancerExplorer IIObviously, it's not for everyone. I know what I want, and they know what they want,....and never the twain shall meet.
- RV_daytraderExplorer???...why all the bad remarks??...I think it looks better than a normal trailer!
- Homer1ExplorerAssuming the owners did most of the work themselves, and it is located in area that warrants that much modification, very good. Other wise I would think building from the ground up would be a better approach. TT's just are not built that strong to start with. I think they did a good job on the conversion, it might not be my cup of tea, but then it does not belong to me, it is theirs and they should be proud of it. I am sure he had to get approval of his design changes before he went forward. Judge not lest you be judged!

It is not going mobile again......so why still have it sitting on tires and then use supports under the slideout :H

Possibly a zoning issue? It may still be considered a "camper" if you leave the wheels on, as opposed to a "house".
I was greatly impressed at how huge the interior was... until they lowered the bed. I think I would rather have a permanent bed in a bedroom instead of that.
More power to them if it works for them! - FunnyCamperExplorer IIseems they did a good job and it IS a roof over their heads.

- valhalla360NavigatorThe worst of all options. It can't be moved and it looks horrible.
