Ahhh gee, sometimes I wonder about me.......:S :hSo I get in my truck this morning to head to work. Away I go, pull out into traffic, drive a few blocks and see something flapping in my passenger side mirror.What the???? I looks like.... a 40 foot extension cord dragging down the road behind my truck.Yup! drove away without unplugging my block heater!What a dummy. I stopped at a red light, quickly got out, opened my hood, pulled the cord out and gathered it up and threw it in beside me and drove away. Sigh!! Still shaking my head!I examined the cord this evening. Aside from a little road rash on the plug, the thing was perfectly intact!! I can't believe I never ran over it with my dually wheels. 40 feet man! And I didn't run it over.What is my next performance going to hold?

How about draping the extension cord over the driver's side mirror and then past the door enroute to the outlet. That way you can't miss it, thus reminding yourself to disconnect it, prior to getting into the truck. Maybe get an orange extension cord too, for better visibility.Glad you experienced nothing worse than a skinned-up cord and maybe a little bit of :o

That what I do with my Van and I plan on doing the same when I install my battery tender on the car that we seldom drive. In fact there I will have the disconnect near the driver's side door and run the cord thru the open driver's side window since the car stays in our garage anyway.
