- peaches_creamExplorerMy Carefree Power awning gets lazy when retracting. I take spray dry lube (purchased at Ace Hardware) and lube all the points on the arms. It moves slick as a button after lubing.
- rscraigExplorerDoes your awning have the adjustable arms? You can tell by looking for several holes along the outside of the arms. One hole should have a push pin in it that allows you to adjust the awning angle. If the two arms are not adjusted to within three holes of the same angle, this will cause problems. Try setting both arms to minimum angle (holes closest to the trailer) and see if that helps. You might also try lubing all the arm joints with plenty of spray silicon lubricant.
- GjacExplorer IIIYou can tighten the springs inside the awning a few turns by removing the arms and rotating them several turns then re install to check the tension. I just reread your title. What I posted was for a manual awning.
