- rtz549ExplorerThe RH tire is a new tire so it may well prove to be a good tire. What was the model tire that was so problematic in the past?

If you have some factual information please educate us.
The deficiencies of carlisle tires have been so well documented here and on other RVing sites that he probably doesn't feel the need to expound upon them.
And I agree with him.
Yep-failures that have happened on the old style tire. But the "good old boys" just won't let go. A company can't possibly improve it's product? Right? - ScottGNomad

Got better tires and never had a failure again. - bhallExplorerJust bought 5 of these from Discount Tire with 5 Refund Certificates and free shipping for $478.75
I got ST205/75 R15 LRC. I was thinking of going with D range but after speaking to the wheel mfg, they recommended that I stay with the C range because of the tire pressure rating. Not many options for me with a 15x5 wheel. - John___AngelaExplorerOur Carlisle Radials have been going strong for a few years. One more year and I'll change them out as we have a big cross country trip coming in 2016.

Edmund says-
But just because a tire is manufactured in the Middle Kingdom doesn’t automatically mean it’s junk. Edmonds said “we have a few SKUs that are made in China from a few major manufacturers.” He also said “[there’s] a line called Fuzion that is actually manufactured by Bridgestone.” It’s an entry-level brand they introduced and while it’s not as good as their top-tier product, it is less expensive.
“If they’re [the major name-brand tire manufacturers] having the tire built in China they’re having it built to their specifications. They maintain control of that raw material,” he said. Not to mention the engineering and development work. What TireRack.com does not offer are tires that are designed and engineered in China by Chinese firms.
Michelin, Goodyear, Yokohama and Continental “they’re all there building tires in China” Mielko said, adding that Pirelli’s biggest factory is located there.
Carlisle-like Maxxis is not a Chinese firm.
