Changing a tire on tt what do you use?

My last TV factory Jack worked well but not my new one . At the last minute I took a small bottle Jack along . Do these plastic drive on things work well? I suppose I could use my wood ramps in a pinch.

Cheers

a credit card or motor club card and a cell phone. :B

And you always have cell service ? This years travels I've only had cell service about a third of the time.

Oh & didn't I help you with an electrical issue in a park this spring ?

    ; ) cheers

it was meant to be a light hearted comment. tough crowd.

Camping World sells a device called a "Travel Aide" that you set on the ground and just roll a tire up on and the bad tire is lifted up in the air so you can change the tire without having to use any jacks.

You need to find a cell phone service that covers the areas you normally or typically travel in. I use AT&T and have never had a problem on the Pacific coast and/or all the south west states. I even used it once in Boston. Check out AT&T and Verzion.

X2, Call Good Sam Emergency Roadside service. Changing a tire in 110 deg. temp in the desert or on a 4 lane freeway is not my first choice or more importantly----safe! IMHO

  • I had a couple 4X6 pieces cut at an angle that I used for leveling. They would have worked if I had a flat. I haven't had a flat in years but if I did now with the MH I think I would use roadside service or a credit card.

Funny comment but the OP is inquiring on a trailer not a motorhome. We trailer owners carry spare tires and don't have to call for help unless we chose to, unlike the motorhome crowd.
  • I carry a 16,000 pound capacity bottle jack. It's small and doesn't take up much room. Never used one of those plastic jobs. The other thing is I prevent blowouts by not using those terrible Chinese tires on my trailer.
