Yes actually back on topic would be how to charge..... not so much if charging is good or bad. I think I will leave it up to the camp owner to decide if charging an EV is good or bad at their own location and their discretion.
but back on topic, I’m not too sure about EV charging and Campgrounds being a good mix - Maybe I’m wrong here…JMHO

Exactly, I’m much more in favor of letting the CG owner-operators find a way to sort this matter all out (though I sincerely wish them well as enforcement will likely be problematic :E), Me not too much in favor of yet another intransigent bureaucratic solution…
FWIW, your points are duly noted Sir, and I’ve enjoyed the conversational respite !! :)

Your post brought in the implied conspiracy that the CO utility was doing something nefarious.time2roll wrote:

Seriously!!… Now that a topic that drifts into some seemingly DEEP conspiracies, but heck who knows (??), maybe it’s time to re-load some more conspiracies because all the previous ones have seemed to come true!! - lol :h

No confusion here.3 tons wrote:

Denver residents found themselves ‘locked-out’ (to address his allegation, some might even call this Orwellian’??):

Xcel confirmed to Contact Denver7 that 22,000 customers who had signed up for the Colorado AC Rewards program were locked out of their smart thermostats for hours on Tuesday.
"It's a voluntary program. Let's remember that this is something that customers choose to be a part of based on the incentives," said Emmett Romine, vice president of customer solutions and innovation at Xcel.
Customers receive a $100 credit for enrolling in the program and $25 annually, but Romine said customers also agree to give up some control to save energy and money and make the system more reliable.
A discussional ‘re-direct’ as to whether the program is ‘voluntary’ or ‘involuntary’ seems to only (purposefully?) obfuscate the point - that point being that Denver (due to extreme hot weather..) was experiencing an energy emergency, So had to pro-actively undertake emergency measures to mitigate such - The argument of voluntary versus involuntary is strictly your ‘Orwellian’ argument, and doesn’t overshadow their necessity to mitigate - Call this ‘Orwellian’ (as you have) or whatever all you wish, but moving forward it’s not beyond the realm of one’s cogent awareness to see a day when remotely operated t-states are a building requirement, that is IF they’re not already in some locals…Makes little difference to me, but back on topic, I’m not too sure about EV charging and Campgrounds being a good mix - Maybe I’m wrong here…JMHO

I also happen to be a huge fan of ‘free-thinking’ Elon Musk, though I see an occasional above ground pipeline or a ‘far more ubiquitous’ underground gas-petroleum pipeline far less environmentally intrusive than *strip-mining the planet…Perhaps he’ll find a more workable alternative:)…
* (i.e. using ‘massive’ amounts of heavy diesel equipment to dig up untold tons of someone else’s earth, in someone else's backyard for mere few ounces of rare EV cobalt, and then there’s the relatively rare element of lithium??…).
And ALL vehicles are made with steel, and steel CANNOT be made without coal - are we to outsource steel mfg. to China and India ??…(FWIW, China and India are building 30 new coal fired plants EACH week, so it’s not exactly clear to me, due mainly to the vagaries of the weather how green energy can allow the West to compete - but hey, just another opinion)..
Respectfully,
