We pulled into a Flying J a couple of weeks ago while on a trip to Nc from Fl. there were 2 lanes for rv's. I was in line and noticed that the motor home in the left lane was just sitting there. No hose connected and no one around. The right lane 2 rv's filled up and moved ahead. A lady came from inside the store and got into the rv....I thought for sure it would move now. Wrong answer. Another rv in the right lane finished fueling and moved away from the pump. I pulled up to the pump and had a problem with my control # so I went inside and the cashier rectified the problem by calling customer service.....I then went back out side and finished filling my tank. As I was replacing my fuel cap a guy came out of the motor home. I wanted to get nasty with this guy from Ohio but took the high road and let it go. He started to yap about his trip back to Ohio and how good his lunch was. My wife thanked me for not confronting him about how rude he was to tie up the pump with people waiting in line to fuel up. BTW I waited over 20 minutes to get to the pump..... Should I have let this self centered jerk have a piece of my mind??

OR, You could have had the attendant move him. IF it is costing them money for him to block the pumps. Yes they will move him

Oh, those Ohio RV'ers!I could easily eat lunch in the time it takes me to fill up. Put credit card in 3 times for 3 transactions and slooooow pumps. Then the receipt printer isn't working. I started to fill up at FJ's competitor across the highway. The price is always the same with much, much less aggravation. Try it. I now only use FJs for propane.

Posting his picture here might do some good. Sounds like the guy and his wife are clueless.

Just an example of the variety of RVers out there. One would hope that none of the posters on this Forum would do such a selfish thing.

If I was behind him and waiting I would have said something for sure. But if his inconsideration was not affecting me, I may not have said anything to him. I may have mentioned to the person waiting behind him that he was in there eating lunch - and watching a movie.

I have come across this 'numerous' times at the Flying J every year almost at least once a month.

Don't know about lately because I quit using Flying J because of this AND the propane service located within a fuel isle that is used from both ends. THAT alone will get you stuck in there for hours with
RV'ers coming from both directions, fighting and blocking all the pumps doing so.

It takes 10 times longer to get in and out of a Flying J than it does a plain ole gas station along side the interstate. I choose the later exclusively now.

It must be because the FJ sign says RV Friendly and the newbies take that to mean that the spot you use to fuel up at is to be used like a CG site and also a place to park while you shop inside for tourist trinkets.

You should just walk to the front of his rig and look around like you are wondering what is blocking him and if he is okay. Nice friendly RV people usually try to help and they may be having a problem. You don't have to say anything confrontational.

Had that happen in Minnesota once.
