Farm kids who shoveled out the stalls and slopped the pigs, tend to get sick far less often than those brought up in an anti-bacterial bubble. Unfortuantely more and more kids are being brought up in that bubble.
link to that study please

While not directly on point with getting sick it is still a very important study showing kids growing up on sterile 'city' food have far more food allergies than they're rural counterparts do.
Study on food allergies amongst children.
nothing to do with sterile city food, attributed to "“We have found for the first time that higher population density corresponds with a greater likelihood of food allergies in children,”

I guess you missed the whole paragraph down near the bottom of the article;
"Past research has shown an increased prevalence of asthma, eczema, allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis in urban areas versus rural ones. One hypothesis is that exposure early in life to certain bacteria associated with rural living may protect against hereditary hypersensitivity to certain allergens. Or, many pollutants encountered in urban areas may trigger the development of these allergies."
The study clearly states that the increase in allergies, asthma, eczema, etc., is increased in higher population densities, on a per capita basis, not just higher because there's more people.
