That is good to know. BUT, many folks don't realize the power requirements of said box! I needed 30hp less to move my 18k rig with a bobcat on a trailer, than I did with a 6500-7000 lb TT in tow at 15k total. Their is 20sq ft of frontal area difference. That is power needs!
I would imagine ANY of the current motors in 15 series trucks with 250-300+HP will move a 6-7000 lb TT. Especially those that are turbo'd. I'm thinking for my needs towing a 6k trailer with a mini excavator, the 2.7 eco or GM with a 4.3. then I should get decent fuel economy when empty. Lose s bit to slot towing as should be expected.
