- wa8yxmExplorer IIIMost bills are auto-pay
One I mail a check
Rest on-line payment. - bikendanExplorerThe DW either calls the companies and pays by credit card or uses her cellphone as a hotspot and pays by her laptop. She has a list of all of our bills and when they are due.
It's quite easy compared to getting mail. - CFergusonExplorer III do as the others have posted. Usually i set up the utilities to auto pay (if theres a problem later, i can always work it out but there never has been). Our CC's have all been set to be due on the same day of the month and we always pay them online. Private phone hotspot and secure banking ap handles it as safely as possible.
And we always have a neighbor pickup the mail too in case anything unexpected arrives. - ReneeGExplorerSince I prefer to enjoy the vacation and not worry about the bills, I pay them in advance using our online banking system and setting them up with a future pay date to work with our pay being automatically deposited. In the past, I would take my entire bill paying folder and pay them on the road using the laptop we take along, but I'd rather be reading or painting than paying bills out on the road!
- naturistNomadVPN. ProtonVPN offers both a free, secure, untracked VPN and a several faster paid VPN services with added bells and whistles. Their iOS and Android apps are also very aggressive at keeping the VPN connection open while you are using it at one of those free WiFi hotspots that you find in Mickey Dees and elsewhere that go out of their way to disconnect and reconnect you.
Using either the free or paid VPN for almost everything is highly recommended especially when on the road. - K_and_IExplorerAs others have said, we put as many bills as possible on auto pay. We had a couple that we could not do that way, so I brought a few checks along with us. On extended trips, I bring a small laser printer so we can have hard copies of the itinerary that we make up the night before.
- RAS43Explorer IIII use my bank app on my phone as others do. If data is not available I have used a library as most towns have one and they are pretty secure.
- CA_TravelerExplorer IIIOnline, we cut the home cords years ago. Verizon hot spot or cell phone hot spot, at home or on the road. Not concerned with someone using our WiFi, they would have to be close enough to get it's limited range and have the password.
And DTV DVR moved from home to RV, hence no cable.
But not off grid at home with utility power, water and natural gas. - Ron3rdExplorer IIIGood info. Thanks folks.
- pasusanExplorerI use my bank app on my phone. But, most of our bills are set up for automatic payment
