The 91 is as rare, but many of the model numbers are nearly alike. Most of the bike went only to factory teams in the US and Canada and it took a racing licene to buy one at that time. They sold for $10,000 in 91 and 92. Which was cheap at the time, Honda RC 30 sold for I think $13,000 and in 94 the RC 45 sold for $27,000.

I store mine in a dark room when I'm not showing them to some one. Light is not good for them. The one that are not ridding much will bring 3 or 4 times as much as one ran by some one who dosen't care for them much.

I store my prized Mercedes-Benz in a temperate, dark garage too, Supercharged. My Brother in Omaha, NE has a bought-new Mercedes-Benz in his possession that is similiarly stored and coddled on. No rain or winter driving either.

What some people may not realize is that everything Jay Leno buys gets 100% re-manufactured. Hardly a collector of original stuff. I don't see the point in throwing up to $100K or more at every acquisition worth only $25K +/-, but with a $25 Million dollar annual income, I understand that he doesn't care how much he spends for others to re-manufacture anything.

The ZERO miles bikes and cars are the cream of the crop, and naturally the most valuable. I know of a muscle car collector in SE Nebraska that specializes in ZERO miles acquisitions. He has quite an extensive collection in two buildings as I understand it.

Honda VF-1000R 0 mile, 1983 Honda Interceptor 0 mile, 1978 Kaw Z1-RTC, 1982 Kaw Eddie Lawson, a Suzuki Gamma, Honda NS400R, 1961 Honda Super Hawk 305, and a few more elswhere. But I need a 1989 owo1.

I've talked to several guys on motorcycle forums that have met him up at The Rock Store, and they say the same thing: "A super cool guy."

He's more of a guys guy then you'll ever know. A buddy of mine runs a website about Chrysler cars. Jay was an incognito member of it, like the buddy so much he flew him out to California, showed him all his toys, even took him on a hair raising steam car drive around Hollywood, then they all jumped into his jet for a few days in Vegas. All on Jay's dime. Heck of a guy.

You never cease to surprise me SC, cool hobby you have there and excellent taste in bikes. My first bike was a 93' Suzuky Katana (can-of-tuna) as it was affectionately known by the motorcycling world, then I had a 1995 Ninja ZX7R, I loved that bike and wish I still had it. Bike under about 10 miles at called 0 bike by collectors.

It sold in 2011, I was one day late before I seen it. It went to Finland. I'd contacted the seller and told him to let them know I would buy it if they didn't take it.
