Need help with 85 pace arrow house batteries

I should get a multimeter. The rv did not come with a starter battery but had two marines. Looks like all three were on e very close. Ive taken a lot of pictures i hope to put up soon. I have to walk a mile just for cell signal so im slow on the internet XD

One of your cables will come from your converter. (that goes to positive terminal on your battery - maybe through a fuse) One of your cables will connect to your chassis and act as ground. (that goes to the battery negative terminal). The two batteries will connect together - positive to positive and negative to negative - so you should have two shorter cables that serve that purpose. That should take care of 4 of the cables. You may have other smaller cables that power things like the electric steps or carbon monoxide alarm - every rig is different. A multimeter can perform continuity test which will help identify.

The other thing is any negative wires will (should) be continuous to ground, so with a multimeter you can check continuity to every wire and all that are continuous to ground (the chassis) are neg. All others are positive.
Otherwise can't help without seeing the setup. IE house loads vs chassis (starting and vehicle power like the wipers) loads.

A couple of more questions.
Are the two batteries close to each other? Can the wires reach either battery? Or are they separated enough that you at least can't mix the two systems (house and coach) up?

Do you have a multimeter that you can use to do some checking of the wires?

If so I would disconnect ALL power sources including the solar. Then do a continuity check between any unlabeled wire and a good ground. That should help you figure out which wires are positive and which are negative.

That makes sense. I pulled a battery from my solar power bank for these tests. I dont know what wires got me that result however, and cant replicate it. :(

Yes there is one or two with a fuse. There are some with tape marked neg and pos, and two marked + and ++. Also there is a big negative that splits into three eyes and has one of those metal clincher things that grasp onto the metal sticker upper part of the battery. Forgive my fancy tech jargon, i have no effing clue what its really called. Those connect to the battery parts, there are two of them. Alsonthere are a **** ton of yellow eyelets.

Also i know the most you can help me do is speculate, im ok with that. Right now i have solar and i have lights, i charge my phone and laptop. So this is mostly just me trying to learn things and make my rv work "proper".

I found one photo online of an 85 pace arrow all hooked up but the poster was saying it didnt work. The reply guy said it should. I may try that.

Any ideas why my first attempt got the wipers to go and then stop working?

I'm not familiar with your MH, but the wires you did hook up were for the engine battery. So if the other battery is some distance away from the one you tried then that is the battery you want to focus on.

Really everything we can suggest is mostly speculation. But we can make suggestions that might help you figure it out.

How many wires are you dealing with and what colors are they.

Do any of the wires have an fuse or small circuit breaker attached? (most likely positive 12 + )

Can you see any of the wires going to a bolt or screw on the frame? (most likely negative 12v - )

Wires going to a switch are most likely positive (12v +).
