My brother lives on the side of a BIG hill (mountain) in Spearfish, SD and they have a herd of wild turkeys who cruise through his back acreage. They like to hop up on the birdbath, tip it over, and break the bowl. There are also mule deer that wander around. When they had their first snow he found tracks of a cougar across his driveway.
When we visited last summer we saw the turkeys and the deer, but no mountain lions.
