Pretty poor and sad to play your music "real loud" in a campground. Why enjoy the reason for camping and the nature around those areas? I don't care what speakers are in your TC how sad is that. Home is where you can have a proper system and even though we have good sound in the camp we "keep it to ourselves" There is no need to be the idiot of the camp or the child.
Pink Floyd is old heck listened when it was new but today there are better choices try to enlarge your scope I carry 800 gigs of music which we can have any kind anywhere.
For you information Mr Crabby... My sound system in INSIDE my TC... Not outside. I have not and never will bother my camping neighbors wit old music. I am actually a Very moral rule follower. Second, who ever said that I didn't have a broad scope of music likes. So if you have 800 gigs you can take anywhere... Then what do you listen to it on, if you only have a great sound system at home? ( confused)
You can check my sig for where my music is played along side of 3 USB drives with several gig for my sig truck. Not crabby but am happy that after putting about 160,000 miles around the US I have had the good fortune to stay at RV parks and state parks and state forest camp grounds with others that respect each other and don't need a concert environment. As for loud music in a TC and not affecting others....... never happened ever. - noplace2ExplorerBottom line in this entire discussion is that there are people who consider others and there are those who don't.
Sadly, I'm not sure that the "don'ts" now don't outweigh the "do's". - Wagonqueen_TrucExplorer

What kind of beer?;)
So if I crank my music and play Johnny Horton's, "Sink the Bismark" or "The Battle of New Orleans" or "Cherokee Boogie" .... you all will come around and drink a beer with me, sit around my campfire, and sing along? - colliehaulerExplorer III

I have to agree with everybody on this. The same people come to the Midwest and complain about all the open space (nothing for miles), they don't realize that's the beauty of it.IAMICHABOD wrote:

Not trying to troll this but it seems like most of the response is from east of the Rockies, just a lot more crowded camping back there?
I have noticed the same thing in most of these RANT type of threads and didn't want to bring it up.......
Is because it is not as crowded here or are we more laid back out here and more polite or thoughtful of others.
Or that we have a more year round camping season out here and don't get that cabin fever thing going on and have to RANT when we cant camp.
After all it is 70 degrees today and I will be heading out........
I think it's relative to the amount of open space available equating to an increased importance in personal space. It shows up on the roads here in the northeast as well; for example, putting on your blinker will usually cause the driver in that lane to speed up to try and close up the gap. Therefore you learn not to use your blinker - it's a sign of weakness.
Whenever someone from around here goes to the west or midwest, the usual observation is "Everyone's so nice out there", when in reality everyone around here is an ass. - jplante4Explorer II

Then there are camp grounds that offer full three way hook up and your neighbour 4 feet away. I do not go out of my way to crank music but until quite time we are there to socialize.
Majority rules and there are plenty of places to go without other people. Do not go somewhere you do not know and try and change the atmospher to suit your nose in the air. - DutchmenSportExplorerSo if I crank my music and play Johnny Horton's, "Sink the Bismark" or "The Battle of New Orleans" or "Cherokee Boogie" .... you all will come around and drink a beer with me, sit around my campfire, and sing along?
