Yes it can. And yes, heat is the enemy. It's not the only reason they're cheap, however.

The surge capability would be another way they can cut costs, along with every other part they possibly can. I'm not saying it won't work out of the box, it's that really long period after it comes out of the box I'd be concerned about.

Great buy. Of course. Great product? Probably not so much.

Moot point for me....none in stock, not available for ship to store. Shame, I was looking for a new inverter for the Peterbilt.

ISN'T HEAT THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF DEATH FOR AN INVERTER??? Can this be why they are inexpensive? You can barely by a modified 2000w for this price..pure is triple this cost.

You will have much better luck with a standard 120v tv.

It would be a great deal but alas can not find any where they are available or they can be shipped. Even checked surrounding states to no avail. Oh well, our Samlex PSW is still working fine lo these many years and will have to suffice. I thought I would replace our secondary whole house inverter with this awesome deal, hope somebody is able to take advantage of it.

Maybe that line that reads "Unavailable for pickup at Santa Clarita" means something else????? That is the line I read here for all the Lowes stores I looked at here today From Woodbridge VA to Richmond VA...

Does this inverter have a fan? Is it noisy? Does the fan run all the time or is it thermo controlled? Just curious. Sounds like a great deal.

How do you power up the TV?

Regarding what we use our Power Inverter for...

We camp out alot off-grid here along the Blue Ridge Mtns and in the George Washington Natl Forest along the wooded Virginia/West Virginia winding state line.

Just about all of our small wattage items that I like to run are 120vAC from a small PSW Power Inverter... I probably could make up ways to use just 12VDC but it sure is convenient just to have a couple of what I call EMERGENCY POWER MULTIHEAD PSW 120VAC Drops in both ends of my off-road POPUP. Then you can safely just plug in anything you got to the 120vAC available there...

I have what I call my duty 600WATT AIMS PSW Power Inverter (AMAZON) which is always ON and when we are camping off-grid I normally just pull around 20AMPS or so which relates to around 250WATTS or so from the 600WATT Power Inverter connected to my 12VDC battery bank.

You probably looked up Zamp ? It's similiar in construction to GoPower, and the output looks good on a scope. I think Lowes'z customer base simply hasn't a clue what to do with this stuff and it never sold, so out they go. Good for us :)
