- Cloud_DancerExplorer III know a thing or two because I've experienced a thing or two (for 77 years).
I turned over a loaded cotton trailer when I was 12 years old (towing with a farm tractor at low speed on a ditch bank). The hitch was designed to break off (by someone smarter than me). This is what got me started in physics, and vehicle weight and balance and HEIGHT of center of mass. During my high school years I built a motorcycle trailer, a small camping trailer, a boat trailer, and a racecar trailer, and street rods (my Dad was a car guy). He provided me a 1952 Ford pickup truck (daily driver). And, I learned to fly in my Junior year (my uncle owned two Stearman crop dusters). And, I never quit. Today, I tow a 4x4 GMC with a big diesel pusher MH), and have never had and accident on a public road. But, I've seen many and have studied a few.
Guilty as charged, I can form an opinion on the cause of an accident just by looking at the aftermath.
Also, During my years working as a commercial pilot, we did recurrent training every six months,....at which time we studied NTSB findings on aviation accidents. - spud1957ExplorerI find posting these types of pictures only serves the purpose to allow the armchair/internet experts to come up with the reason for the accident.
Other than that, totally a waste of time. Don't see a purpose.
Yeah I know, I don't have to read them. Going forward, I won't. - rhagfoExplorer III

I get a kick out of you guys sometimes. One simple picture of a accident and you all suddenly know what happened based on the picture of where things ended up.
I hope none of you ever set on my jury if I am ever accused of a crime.
Totally agree.
First and foremost I wish all involved are safe with no to only minor injures.
That said surely you should be able to see that Toy Hauler, New F150, curve in the road! Driver has just seen the latest Fast & Furious movie and was trying to drift the curve!!:B - wa8yxmExplorer IIIIf you blow up the photo you see a company logo on the door. Too grainy to read the name but it is there.. and I agree looks like a Ford Truck (Barley see the blue oval on the grill) but might be something else. Appears to be a tool or toy hauler trailer like a car hauler.

Hum, my experience has been just the opposite. 3/4 tons with a 5th wheel. Go Figure.
...I have to say the majority of RV accidents I have seen involve a TT with a 1/2 ton...
Cause they weren't F550 dooleys of course.
Fwiw, I hope everyone in the original accident was ok or at least alive.
I tug trailers that look like the original picture up in Ontario and the mini exc all the time on worse roads than both pictures. Shht can go wrong in a hurry.....but it usually doesn't.
Here's another theory about the original story since several have been presented. Old guy yapping to his wife about how all the whipper snappers in their jacked up, unsafe, over gvw F150s and tow any thing but shouldn't F250s are a safety menace to society. When said guy briefly drifts out of his lane, just the outside dual of his F350 dually pulling a pop up for early spot for May long weekend. Whipper snapper narrowly avoids side swiping the dually with his trailer full of new CFMOTO wheelers going to a function where disadvantaged kids get to ride wheelers for free......an opportunity they'd never have other wise if not for this guy.
BUT he's headed the opposite direction of old dude because the people at that campground would complain about the noise and post it on rvnet.
While he's jerking the wheel to not take out old dudes fender and his bosses new trailer, the trailer wheels get into a soft shoulder because ice out was last week and it's mud season, causing the trailer to dive off into the ditch pulling his truck helplessly into the ditch as well, and it all goes wrong. Luckily he's by himself and all the kids are in a bus 10 mi behind him. - wing_zealotExplorer

In 2016 there were 2 fatalities on the TCH within 15km of my house.
The first was a 2000's F250 with a mini excavator on a flat trailer. Commercial vehicle Westbound on Friday evening in the rain. Ended up bottom up in the eastbound ditch. Younger driver in a hurry. Rig loaded a little rearward? Who knows?
The other was an 80's F250 4x4 towing steel I beams. Personal vehicle about half way home to his destination with 3 people aboard. East bound ended up over an embankment in the westbound ditch. 59 yr old FIL pinned to the dash by steel. - Cummins12V98Explorer III"Its not so easy to look at a picture and diagnose a "problem". "
I agree! I think the case below was loaded incorrectly as you mention or too light a truck for the load.
I have to say the majority of RV accidents I have seen involve a TT with a 1/2 ton or SUV.
