When I was deploying a mobile communications unit for the Navy, the Army pukes refused to let us use power to brew coffee. We had our own 35KW generators. It seemed strange to brew one pot of coffee plugged in to a 35KW generator but that's what we did.
What say you.... "Army pukes"??..:W

That's funny, I have that same tooth brush, its the Sonic electric brush, it uses high speed vibration and its great, I to could not go back to the standard tooth brush after being hooked on this for 2 years, cleans teeth like no tomorrow but cost $100 for 2 brushes. - ShapeShifterExplorer

I have to have me some electricity for my CPAP machine. ;)
many CPAP owners use an inverter, so they don't need electric hookups.
Or they just run them directly off of 12 volts: many CPAP machines have 12 volt inputs, unbeknownst to their owners. Much more efficient to run them that way than the inefficiencies inherent in inverting 12v to 120v, and then back down to the low voltages used inside the machine. - bikendanExplorer

I did read your last paragraph (last time). They got there before you. I don't care for it either but that's the rules.colliehauler wrote:

There money is as good as yours. I seen a tent with a small A/C and tv.
Must be a northwestern thing. This summer, Dash Point State Park, a huge pull through site with one little car, a small tent & the power pole to charge the cellphone.
Have these people never heard of small car inverters?
Plenty of tent appropriate sites available. Meanwhile RVs are getting turned away at the gate because there are no sites available for them. The state is losing business with empty sites.
You missed my point. Read the last paragraph this time.
Still, it is funny to see tenters sitting in, & paying for, 30 & 50amp sites with a 20amp extension cord to power something as small as a charger. 20amp, which is found in many tentsites, can power all kinds of low draw things together. Look how we load up a circuit at home with powerstrips etc.
Seen lots of tenters in dry sites with a genny like a Honda 1000W as well. Perfect for them. - drhuggybearExplorer

The amount of things wrong here is just too numerous to go into. - TyroneandGladysExplorerGladys came out the BATHROOM at a CG this summer and did not know to laugh or throw up a woman was sitting on the floor in the bathroom next to her rice cooker.
