OK. I'm trying to convince the Wife that we really should pull the trigger on a Weber Q220 gas grill. She is having an issue with the price when you can get similar grills a lot lessThe grill we have now (charbroil) is garbage. I bought it at Lowes about 3 years ago for about $80.00 and have hated it ever since. Biggest problem is when the flame is on low its about an 1/8" high. When you adjust the flame to "high" it s maybe 3/8" high at best. It takes forever to heat up and to cook with. I even returned it because I thought the regulator was messed up and even the replacement grill had the same issues. I thought this would be a good grill for camping. I was wrong.After reading tons of reviews on Amazon and asking a few friends that have similar Weber grills, im convinced that that's the road I need to travel.The Wife thinks im just paying for the name and I should shop around some more. I tried telling her that yes, I am paying for the name, but with that name comes a very good reputation of quality and durability. Not to mention how long that name has been around. I know they're a little on the pricey side, but im a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". Shopping around for a grill does no good IMO. They all look good on the display shelf and one can't really try them out until after you buy one. I know the Weber Q series is the grill of choice on here (i even told her that lol)I know this subject has been beaten to death on here but my question is this. If you couldn't buy a Weber, what would be your 2nd choice? Help me out guys!!!! I look forward to all the replies!!

We have the 100 which is the "baby" version of the 220 you are looking at. This has to be the best grill I've had in many years. The flame is adjustable and when you put it on low it's low. High for high. I put foil on it for a few minutes on high and presto it's clean and ready for another great steak and/or burger. I should mention that it's very cheap to operate if you get the setup that allows the use of a propane tank vice the throw-away bottles.

A great grill. You can save money by not having to replace it every few years. Works well,

I have the table top model from sam's. It doesn't get hot enough. To do it over again would pick something else.

We LOVE ours and it goes with us everywhere! The grill was given to us by my employer for a 30 year anniversary gift. We then purchased the stand, cover, hose, and an extra propane tank. It is heavy, but worth the weight. We have the Q-220.

I have a 200 and my home big grill is dying, just yesterday I ordered a 100 from Lowes. Smaller and lighter and still big enough for this snowbird. I will take my bigger 200 and put it on the deck at home.Weight is an issue 29 vs 43 lbs.

Another option with the Q-grill is the regulator can be removed and the quick connect (if you have one on your TT) can be used. We haven't done that yet, but know of a few who have.

Once you've gone through 2 or 3 grills, you'll discover the Q is not more expensive, it's really cheaper in the long run. We've got the full size Q and have been using it for nearly 9 years and it's still in great shape, one of the best investments in camping we have made. Yes, they're pricey, but they are built like a tank. They are rather HEAVY compared to other grills so consider that too.

If you do go with the Q, I would also suggest the Weber rolling cart as an accessory. Very, very handy.

There are other good grills out there, the Q is not the only one but it's been great for us and we've never regretting the purchase.

I have a 200 and my home big grill is dying, just yesterday I ordered a 100 from Lowes. Smaller and lighter and still big enough for this snowbird. I will take my bigger 200 and put it on the deck at home.

Weight is an issue 29 vs 43 lbs.
