- turbojimmyExplorerIt's "fixed" now:
For those replacing an old Wedgewood, in this case a T2130 with a new RV-1735: the rough cut outs are different. I measured beforehand so I wasn't surprised at the 3/4" gap at the top rear, nor the 3/4" gap under the oven door. You can't really see it unless you're looking for it but I know it's there. I may add some trim on the counter to keep stuff from falling down in there, but I'm going to leave the bottom alone. I was more concerned with the width (the mounting screws go into the sides) which was spot on versus the old unit.
I wouldn't do business with this guy again - it's a little more beat up than they mentioned, has been apart (i.e., not just a "take out") and is missing the rubber grommets for the grate...but for $180 to my door I can't complain. - Blanco1Explorer

Wow!
I'm gonna have to take a close look at mine & see how it might match to the one I have.
That would be awesome if it was a match.
How did you search for it?
I went straight to the Sears parts web site. They have a lot of replacement parts for all kinds of appliances they don't sell in store. Sears doesn't just service things they sell. I once found a pilot light assembly for a 6 gallon Suburban gas only trailer water heater on their web site when searching for the Suburban part no. on line. Briggs and Stratton parts for my non Sears - MTD Yardman rotor tiller and Murray lawn mower.
I had no idea, good to know. - mobeewanExplorer

Do you get a pilot light at all? If so, and the safety valve is working you'll get a bigger pilot flame when the thermostat calls for heat. If the oven control valve is bad, you won't get flame at the burner despite this bigger pilot flame. On mine, my pilot doesn't react to the thermostat at all. It worked once when I first got it but hasn't since.

Unfortunately I don't think that's correct for our application, nor is it the right part to solve the problem. I researched those extensively. They are for newer ovens and they are for the oven control (the knob goes on that). Our problem is with the safety valve at the back of the oven - it's not opening to let gas to the burner.
I did find a safety valve for $280, but I don't know if they're really in stock and the cost is more than a "new" oven. - Blanco1Explorer

- turbojimmyExplorerOkay - I have a disorder where everything needs to work in my mechanical world. The oven in the RV is important for heating up leftovers (microwave is marginal in that regard), frozen pizza, etc. I snagged a "new" (takeout) unit from eBay for $180 shipped to my door. Dimensions are a little different than the 1984 model, but it's smaller not bigger. I can fill in some gaps with some trim if need be. It's not off by much, though, so I'm not sure if I'll need to do anything at all.
I got an Atwood RV-1735. Seller is bottomdollarsurplusinc. They have a lot of them for $150 plus $30 shipping. They're $500 new in the box.
