Will the top of a slide-out handle a persons weight?

This is exactly why I asked..... I am replacing the slide toppers and to be able to pull on both sides of the new material at the same time it means kneeling on the top of the slide. I've only done the smaller one of the two so far but I thought I'd ask before I put any weight on the larger longer slide.

I have to ask, why do you walk on your slide roof all the time ? Mine has an awning over it, and I also can't think of any reason why I would want to walk on the slide roof.

In looking at the structure, I would not do it. Of course, I also don't see the need.

My Jayco Eagle seemed pretty solid but I never actually tried it. I asked the NuWa manufacturers when we picked up this HH and they said "no problem", I'll gingerly test that sometime... not sure I would do it with other brands.

If somebody comes on here and tells you it's okay, are you going to do it? It might make a good YouTube video! I wouldn't think of doing it, and couldn't see a reason to do it. Everything should be accessible from the roof or a ladder. Repairing significant damage to a slide's roof structure would be quite costly.

My Heartland Northtrail was pretty solid. Never felt any give while walking on it. My Northwood Fox Mountain is definitely softer. I won't walk on it. You'll need to see how well they made the slide roof. Some Manf build em better.

I would not- there isn't much in the way of structure in most of them.
