FWIW, the full list price for that door is $158 (unless it is stainless wrapped, or some such). If you managed to damage the original gasket (which is pretty tough material), that bulb seal won't last a month.

No thanks. I will be using the rubber bulb seal as a replacement for the door gasket. I'm not looking for perfection or "like-new", only something that works satisfactorily. Estimated cost $20-$30 vs hundreds of $$$ for a new door. After all, there's nothing wrong with my door - why would I order a new one?

They are removable by cutting them. That does NOT mean that there is a replacement gasket. You buy the WHOLE door as I stated. I just talked to Dometic. Dometic only supplies the gaskets for the RM 1350 model refer as this is the only model with factory replacement gasket. There is a aftermarket company that makes and sells the replacement door gaskets for the various models thru Dometic. You MUST remove the door and glue and silicone the new gasket for at least 24 hours dry time. Dometic does not set the price of the gasket. The aftermarket company does. That is why I state to just buy the complete door for a few dollars more. Doug

Agree with the comments about Dometic CS - it's outrageously bad. And it makes me angry that such a company can be successful. Where's the justice? Life is not fair.

OP, I feel your pain. Last year when I decided to replace my 7-year old small Dometic's door gasket, I called them. First answer was 'oh, we don't carry that gasket any more.' More calling, turned out they'd sell me the wrong gasket for $225 + $25 shipping!!!. Then I could cut it down to fit!

This is the worst customer service I have _ever_ known! I'd tell you my honest opinion of Dometic, but there's no point. It involves so much sailor-speak that the mods would have to delete it.
