You do not state the details. How big of a motor, how much the unit weighs and how many gallons of gas. Price of gas means nothing as $218 could buy you 82 gallons in South Carolina and about 38 gallons in California. Chances are you have a large engine that may even need premium gas. A rough guess is that a unit of that era would get between 6 and 10 mpg. Add age and wear to the equation and it may creep down to less than that.
