50 Amp Shore Cord stolen!

Smokey the dog latched on to me at the ranch. I was around 14 and he loved to chase and fetch sticks thrown into the madison river. One day he forget and passed under the fence with his tail raised. I could hear his retreating yelps for a full minute.

I got the fancy 50-mile model. It has triple the joules of energy as the smaller chargers. It'd going to keep goats and iguanas out of my danged garden when I get home. Tomorrow it gets connected to the car. I'll bet I don't find 10 windshield wiper flyers on Saturday morning.

Being a farmer and having livestock, I know first hand about fence chargers. You only forget one time, maybe twice if you are slow...:B

FWIW, I bought a new Marinco 50 amp cord at CW, on clearance. It was 1/3 the price of MSRP.

For the doubters out there get a short length of 1/8" THREE SIXTEEN 316 grade stainless steel cable then try and cut it. 3/16" stainless cable needs a block of steel, a USA sharp chisel and a 3 pound drilling hammer. Just enough time to load OO buck into the Browning.

Copper thieves will chop the cord and pull the stub out of your security loop. A stainless steel wire rope bonded to the cord would work.

I think that some Walmarts may stock 50 amp cords. Not every Walmart has a fully stocked RV section, however.

I was perusing a story which led to another and...

An RV'er checked his parked alongside his house 5th wheel and found it has been roto-rootered. Television, clothes, loose appliances, laptop, all gone. The guy gave the police his stolen cell phone number and they traced everything to a house (across town?). A virtual packrat paradise.

When they are released from prison, they, shall I say, "will be given transportation..."

It never hurts to add a little chlorine to the gene pool.

If you plug into a box that has provision for a padlock, lock it and hopefully the low life will get a jolt when cutting the wire.

LOL.....have had them dewire and deplumb a building or two during construction, and a few years back a moron decided to go for the wires further up the pole and executed himself........pretty sure those wires were not copper lol.
