this is the label, 650w max out put
be nice if it is adjustable some place on the circuit board

If it is really 12 volt output, it will not charge a battery, but my question is the 20-30v battery input. That might be the thing for folks with 24 volt chassis setups, or if it is adjustable, just the things for a pv setup.
If this is like any other Power One supply I have had over the last 30 years, it has a pot that tops out around 15V, and probably has ext. sense points as well. Hopefully they will still have them on Sat.

The 24v input is interesting. This must have come out of something with fail-over service. Never seen that on a Power One
  • if it turns out to be adjustable
i may go get one just as a backup to have on hand
    and tinker with

dw says i have too much 'junk' now
shes right, but i can't stop my 'affliction' not an 'adiction'
    i'm afflicted with techno tinkering
  • I like techno stuff too but it needs a purpose to spend money.

I bought something like this to run my model train at Christmas:

Voltage always sags on model train controllers but not this one. Amps rise and fall as it goes over the trestle. Holds speed much better as power increases when climbing and drops off when decending. Great for a bench power supply also.

Good luck with the $15 12v supply.
  • If you saw the garbage barge output of a standalone RV converter on an oscilloscope, you could appreciate the 15 millivolt ripple and exceptionally tight droop as found on this unit's spec sheet. It is a power supply. A battery charger is not a power supply nor is the reverse true. A power supply develops exceptionally clean power.
