Berg extended run fuel tank question

I am looking at the Berg extended run fuel tank for my Honda genny's.

Two questions.

One: can I only use it with one at a time? I mean how do you block the line that you aren't using at the time?

Second, what about the metal caps? Anybody stripped their plastic threads off of the genny's fuel tank?

I would prefer plastic caps but don't have the time to find the parts and build my own system.

  • I've seen people add quick disconnects that when disconnected, shut off fuel to that line. Fuel petcocks also work to be 100% sure that the line isn't in use.
  • If you buy the dual run tank it should come with a small valve in the line to each cap you can shut of one or run both, my tank from wise sales came with black plastic valves , one shuts off the main line from the tank then one valve for each cap also bought an extra set of caps for travel.
  • Have not done this but I assume you can make a plug up??? Remove one of the lines at the "T" and put the plug on.... take a inch or two of hose , seal off the one end and place the other on the "T" . . .
  • That is who I am looking at. I want dual run but only want to use one genny with it part of the time. The question is what do I do with the other hose when only using one genny? Can it be removed and capped off?
  • check out Wise Sales... you can get single run... or dual run... I have not run mine with the aluminum caps yet , but do not see an issue...
