Long term cost efficiency and RVing = LMAO! Sorry but RVs are toys and vacations are money losers (unless you have a vacation home that you rent out and the rent pays for the home, the vacation AND puts money in your pocket). None make ANY financial sense, short or long term. We do it because we enjoy it. How much did you pay for your battery bank again? I find it hilarious that most of the people here that accuse FLA owners of being cheap have just one or two AGM's Some of us FLA owners have fairly large, expensive banks. How can you accuse us of being cheap when it's obvious that some of us didn't have a problem with price? Lastly, I don't accept your apology because, frankly, I don't think you mean it.
Sometimes the difference between long-term cost efficiency and "I want it right now" is the money that pays the fees at the campground or puts gas in the tank for the next campout
I'm sorry that you thought I was apologizing to you, it was meant for those who either don't want to throw good "toy" money into the wind, didn't understand AGM technology, or were unable to read the detailed links that I offered for the discussion. If you got a laugh out of my posts without bothering to understand what AGMs are and why they are superior, I am stoked... - red31Explorer

I chose an AGM over flooded and after 6 years of use and abuse, I'd be "wearing blinders" if I went back to flooded batteries again.
Lecture to me in 6 more years since I spend $10/yr for a battery that suits my needs. - mena661Explorer

I have the 370Ah versions of these. Great batteries!!! DW is also very happy. :)
Campdude, I installed two of these and I'm really happy. Mostly because DW is really happy! Lots of juice for an extra week of boondocking.

I bought mine for a better price at Battery Systems near Portland Airport. - nightshiftExplorer

- pnicholsExplorer IItp,
That sign in the your photo reminds me of an old Chinese Proverb I made up:
"You never regret buying quality ... you just have to figure out how to pay for it." ;) - tplifeExplorerBeemerphile is correct about AGM batteries not being the best solution for everyone. I am sorry if he or anyone are insulted - I backed up my experience and findings with links all the way. Sometimes the difference between long-term cost efficiency and "I want it right now" is the money that pays the fees at the campground or puts gas in the tank for the next campout. The references in my posts are legitimate charts from real-world experience of a lit of people (like myself) who have been buying flooded batteries for decades and are taking an open-minded look at anything out there that's better in our price point. I chose an AGM over flooded and after 6 years of use and abuse, I'd be "wearing blinders" if I went back to flooded batteries again. If you're happy with your flooded batteries, great. If you find something in my referenced links that's not correct, even better! I learn the same way everyone else on this forum does - one opinion and experience at a time. :)

Gale, you're dead-on about certain Lithium-Ion batteries being the final solution to the RV power storage problem.
