Blown fuse 06 weekend warrior super lite

I have a 2006 weekend warrior super lite ft2100
The fuse to inside panel panel keeps blowing at first it took about 10 min to blow after replacing been trying to trace it down now it instantly blows when replaced i have disconnected each switch hot wire in panel 1 at a time and replaced still nothing I have not tried disconnecting the hot water heater switch or fuel gauge yet.. I haven't been able to find any thing on what all is wired on that circuit
  • Let me guess, this is in an outside compartment where the power cord is located? There is a metal breaker box, a separate fuse block, and an Iota converter screwed to the wall?

You have a shorted circuit somewhere between the fuse block and the panel inside. It could be anywhere in between. Has any work been done on it lately?

Instead of blowing an endless number of fuses, use an incandescent light bulb in its place. The bulb will light and you can go about locating the short. When the bulb goes out - the short is gone.
  • Can't see the pictures, Photobucket says the album is set to private.

Can you try the photo posting link from the FAQ's? It's a bit cumbersome, but it will work.

    Link

Just drag an drop a photo into the box, copy the address from the window below the picture and then paste the address into a reply posting here.
  • Here is a picture of my fuse panel https://app.photobucket.com/u/franka1986/p/89537e22-d2ab-4db3-81f2-c8535d261233

Its the one with black wires

The numbers on inside monitor panel are a7632ad

The fuse panel is located in the compartment next to the dc cut-off switch and power Cord the according to the sticker on compartment door that fuse supply is for monitor panel and fuel gage

One thing you can do is make a self resetting indicator fuse.. (Sounds complex right. here is how

you need a pair of "Spade" type connectors NOT the ones in the link but the ones that go into them

    Connectors

A license plate lamp (incandescant old fashing not LED) and a matching socket with two leads.. one spade on each lead and plug it in in place of the fuse..

Now you can wiggle wires disconnect and reconnect (keep switches off) and when the light lights You are getting close

I am guessing wiggling one of those wires will cause the light to "Blink" and that's your tribble.
  • Please explain where this fuse is located. Is it outside by the Coach batteries and supplies ALL 12 volt power to the inside of the RV? Doug

PS what size is the fuse?
  • Generally in RV electrical systems, replaceable fuses are for 12V items, breakers are for 120V items..

Might be helpful if you can post the model of power panel you are working with and a good pix of the fuse layout.
