Have a 2014 W&P and for the most part have had very few issues until this week. 1. When going down road the battery will not stay charged by truck Alt. 270 amp. Alt can handle this. The refer will not stay running any longer on battery so have to use LP and at times won't have enough juice to keep igniter working. Battery is a good. Any thoughts?2. LED strip light ov r slid out does not work at all. I thought when one LED went out the others would still work. All fuses are good and this Jan's nothing to do with issue mentioned above.

First thought, try a voltage check on the battery, with truck disconnected and shore power off, then connect truck and check again to ensure you are getting a good connection to the truck. Voltage should come up from 12.5 or so disconnected to 13.8-14.2 with truck connected and running. Slide problem is a possible nicked wire. whenever you are dealing with powered moving parts the possibility exist.

I was just trying to narrow the scope to a single part of the system.Or, is the problem strictly on the 5 er, gotta start somewhere and my first thought was narrowing whether its the truck or trailer.

Does the trailer battery voltage jump up about 1 volt as you plug into the running truck?

Need to ask. Is the truck setup to charge the trailer battery? IF a ford is the trailer charge relay installed?

To a Terry Allan. Never new truck had to be set up to charge battery, as it kept it charged for multiple trips. I guess I could have been running Strictly on battery but it's just recently started.

I will disconnect , shore power, check Battery volt the. Connect to truck to see if volts rise. If not I'm guessing I have a plug problem.

Yes
plug or truck or wire from plug to battery.
There is a fuse for the trailer power lead that could be bad, the plug itself Pin 4 and then the wire from there to 5er battery, you will have at least isolated to there.

If power doesnt go up check pin 4 if no power there on truck side the fuse is blown 30 amp in fuse holder slot F30

Don't know what you are driving. But if it is a Ford. there is a relay that has to be installed to charge the battery. Easy to check. Find the hole in the fuse panel, or check the charger pin in the TV 7 pin.
Also IF the battery was good. It would last hours with only the fridge running off propane. When is starts going bad. Not so long
