Cracked Shower Floor
Any suggestions for repairing other than getting a new shower. It is made of plastic. Moved to Tech Issues forum from DIY.

My fiberglass show pan on my 1969 Avion was cracked. It was very thin and had support on the bottom, but it was too thin. I removed the pan and had it reinforced on the bottom and encased the bottom in fiberglass. I then had it painted with a decent color. Excellent repair idea on a fiberglass pan. Trouble is, for many years now, showers are made of Vitron molded plastic. I think that is what the OP has.
The repair I did was in my '87 30' Award Columbia TT 20 years ago. They were notorious for soft delaminating floors (another repair story, that turned out well) and lightweight builds which came to haunt me in the shower pan.
