Was on the road two weeks ago and everything was fine. I am getting ready to leave for Florida and the fridge is not cooling. I put it on auto for several hours and got nothing. I am attached to shore power. The light in the fridge comes on when I open the door. Hoping it is an internal electrical problem, I switched to gas. Frige is turned on and switch set to gas. I can hear the flame burning. So far, nothing. Any suggestions ? Thanks.

How long have you had the fridge turned on? It can take a good 8 - 10 hours to cool down!

I think it was on electric overnight. I am going to leave it on gas tonight. Thanks.

Make sure the thermostat didn't get bumped

What is the outside air temperature?

I think the thermo is only for the cooling part of the fridge (not the freezer). The outside temp is mid 60s (here in Maine).

How long have you had the fridge turned on? It can take a good 8 - 10 hours to cool down!

You can not adjust temp control.......your fridge has a pre-set temp control that is for both electric & propane. The thermistor in food section can affect temps (6-8*F).

The freezer section has to cool down first before you will see any cooling in the food section
This can take several hours.

You do have the RV 'level'....correct?

The RV is not level. Should it be to be using shore power ???

check to make sure the shore power 120V breaker hasn't tripped.

Level doesn't matter concerning shore power, battery power etc.

BUT IT MATTERS when operating fridge.
Absorption fridges use gravity/heat to cause cooling medium to properly flow.
Off level operation will cause improper flow.....insufficient cooling whether on electric or propane.
This can cause crystallization which will cause blockage and KILL the cooling unit.......Damage is accumulative!

x2. if it's not level enough for you to sit, walk, sleep in without noticing the "off level" the it isn't level enough.
