Got it!
That'd be miss or ms please. :) - red31ExplorerA RM2193 compact fridge uses 635 BTU on HIGH and 293 on LOW, a candle is much less as I suspect is a oven pilot in a non windy environment.

The one wide out in the open. Rain and wind...
I would have to guesstimate the pot is still a third full. Sometimes reality jumps in and screws with the best of theories. The stove I spoke of was another Mexican special. We won't talk about the 1,000,000 PPM total dissolved solids the domestic water has. - DrewEExplorer II

The answer to the OP's question.
How much gas does a standing pilot use?
Again, this goes back to the design of the burner. A thermocouple system uses about 700 btu's per hour while a thermopile system about 1500 btu's. I find it easier to understand volume in gallons; a gallon of LP gas contains roughly 91,500 btu's. A thermopile assisted burner therefore uses one gallon of gas in 61 hours, or nearly 12 gallons a month. A thermocouple system would be roughly half that amount.
Your oven pilot uses the thermocouple design.
My RV oven pilot uses neither design, actually. It's a standard two-stage sort of pilot. When no heat is being called for, it just runs with a teeny tiny flame. When heat is called for, the pilot is enlarged (more gas is fed to it) and it grows to envelope and heat the bulb of a thermostatic safety valve. - Old-BiscuitExplorer III

Yep. My rig turned 43 last October. And my fridge and stove/oven are definitely that old as they are original. My water heater may be slightly younger but still well over 20 years old. - Mont_G_JExplorerThe answer to the OP's question.

Yep, had to do that with my new toyhauler. They must not have checked south of the border before they installed my stove and oven.MEXICOWANDERER wrote:

They don't always install modern appliances in new RV.
2018 trailers are still being equipped with propane range/oven with piezo-ignitor - that ignites ONLY the top burners, not the oven. You know, rotating knob that goes click-click-click.... nothing.
Owners have to retrofit it with electronic ignition that works better, and install the sparky thingy at the oven pilot as well. - AlmotExplorer III
