how to start Norcold 3 way frig on propane

That #5 Knob 'Temp'

THAT is the gas control knob.
Has temp settings Lo/MED/HI and far right OFF

When on Gas you have to SET which flame is going to be used

Push in knob #5 and turn to HI setting
HOLD knob #5 in while pushing #4 (Piezo) several times rapidly for 5 seconds

Caution:
Do not hold in the gas control for more than 30 seconds.
If there is no flame in this time, wait at least five
minutes before you try ignition again.
If you continue to hold in the gas control, LP gas will collect in the
burner area. This could cause a fire or explosion and result in dangerous personal injury or death

Meter will move into green area when flame is present......continue to hold in knob #5 for 5 more seconds then release.

Turn knob #5 to desired temp setting.......Lo, Med or Hi
LO if ambient air temps are below 50*F
Med for MOST conditions
HI when ambient air temps above 90*F

Knob #2 Fridge Temp Control
That is the thermostat for AC Operation ONLY

Perhaps I have created some confusion by the way I’ve described my setup.
On the front, at the top of the fridge is a black control panel with, from left to,right
1. Mode knob (AC, DC, or Propane)
2. Fridge temp control.
3. White/green meter
4. Piezo push to light button
5. Another knob labeled “Temp”
Of these, the only one that can be pushed in with ANY non-destructive amount of force is number 5.
On top of the counter is a two burner stove. Each of the burners has a push and turn knob. When I push and turn one of them, I can smell propane.
I guess I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to get a butane match to light the stove and see what happens with the fridge.

My temperature knob on my fridge isn't all that easy to push in. Sorta 'catches' before it actually pushes in, like a detent or something. Even then, the spring is very stiff and not easy to hold in. My wife can't do it, I have to.

On my stove, the temperature control is pushed in and held to establish gas flow, according to the instructions on the flip-up burner cover.
We received manuals for every system in the trailer EXCEPT the frig and stove.
We didn’t bring our butane match lighter so I can’t light the stove tonight. I’ll get one tomorrow.
On the frig, what I referred to as the “power selector” is actually labeled “mode”.
None of the controls except for the temperature control for the stove has a knob that you can push in.

On my norcold, the temperature control knob is the gas-light knob. I nee to push in on the temperature control knob while lighting and hold it for several seconds after. This allows the automatic off for the pilot light to be bypassed while the thermistor is heating up from the gas. While I hold that knob in, I'll see the red needle go up to the top of the green zone on the gauge. I'll hold it several seconds longer, then release. If it doesn't light, the red needle will drop slowly, so I start over and hold the gas on longer.

I do know know if DC power is required while running on propane, but I do know the internal light bulb lights when in gas mode, so I know power is switched. In the off mode, the light is off. In AC, DC or gas mode, the light goes on with the door open

Some fridge models have the gas override on the striker button. You push in for a spark, but you hold it down as the thermistor heats up and the gauge goes into the green. Yours might be like this also.

Where the power selector is push the button in and hold when pointing to propane. I had the same problem. Too much airflow going up the stack blows the flame out.

I don’t see an actual gas valve button for the frig.
The stove has one, however.
The frig controls are:
1. Power selector (AC, DC , or propane)
2. Temperature control
3. Push to click spark igniter.
In between the temperature control and the spark igniter is the green/ white meter, which I am assuming has the needle move into the green area when it is operating properly on propane.
Another question: Does the frig need battery power to light and /or run on propane?

I’d forget running on DC when driving. Use propane.
