HWH leveler problem

My HWH 200 series leveling system with a joystick control will only run in the forward, rear, and left side positions. It will not run in the right position. It will raise the front, rear, and left side of the coach fine but not the right side. Has anyone else had this problem? I looked on the HWH troubleshooting site but didn't find much on this problem.

  • Thanks dougrainer etal, I blew it out and it works fine. I got quite a bit of dust out of it. I didn't even have to take the cover plate off.

  • Thanks for all the replies! I will try removing the top plate and cleaning that out as the pump does not run in the right side position. I can see some dust in there.

In addition to the above advice I have had this problem on two occasions where the screws holes were stripped in the floor and the screws were loose that hold the top plate down on one side causing the springs inside to not make contact on that one side.
  • olfarmer, you live in iowa. the factory is in moscow iowa. their phone number is 1-563-724-3396. they have overnight camping spots, with electric hookups. they are about 2 weeks out on appointments now because of the winnebago and fmca rally.
it would be beneficial to get your system checked out there.

Do you mean the PUMP will not run when engaging the right side? OR, the right side jacks do not extend when engaging? If the pump does NOT run, then the problem is in the Joystick electric control plate. Remove the Round knobs and remove the Joystick black cover plate and clean out or blow out the area around the swivel of the Joystick. There may be dirt/debris stopping the electrical contac. Doug

X2. I do that every now and then on mine. Take the cover off and clean the gunk out. Also clean the electrical contacts but be careful not to lose the tiny springs that actually make the connections when the cover is installed.
