Hello, I hope Im posting in the right spot. New to the fourm. My 5th wheel trailer is a 50 amp system. It does not have an inverter. I am going to put the solar extreme kit on it with a 3000 watt pure sine wave inverter from go power. It is my understanding that I need to install a 30 amp sub panel. Before I make myself sound like a idiot. I am fully capable of doing this instalation I just need to have the details on a few questions. I am assuming I am to remove the physical circuit and breaker from the power center it is in now and install it in the sub panel that will be fed from the inverter, correct?
Heres the part where the new guy asks a dumb question… In doing the above mentioned procedure. Does that now permanently render those circuits to be powered by the inverter only, so when I am hooked up to shore power only the circuits in the factory 50 power center will operate and i will then need to have the converter charging the batteries as the inverter will have to be on to run the circuits that are in the 30 amp sub pannel?
